Stem Ciders

Stem Ciders

Branding better-for-you cider

Stem Ciders had evolved from a small natural cider producer into a category challenger known for low-sugar, flavor-forward innovation. However, despite its product evolution and growing reputation for pushing the boundaries of cider, the brand identity had not kept pace, limiting its ability to fully communicate its leadership position and differentiated offering in the market.

The insight was that cider drinkers were ready for more sophistication and exploration of flavor, but the category language had not evolved to reflect that shift. Stem Ciders had the opportunity to redefine what cider could be—better tasting, lower in sugar, and more expressive—while positioning itself as the category leader in innovation and quality.

The refreshed identity introduced a more expressive yet grounded system rooted in the idea of “Explore Endlessly.” A refined wordmark, handcrafted typography, playful illustration system, and the signature “Blobby” visual device helped communicate flavor, ingredients, and personality in a distinctive way.

The result is a more cohesive and expressive brand that strengthens shelf differentiation, expands consumer perception of cider, and positions Stem Ciders as a leader in modern, flavor-driven cider innovation.
