BUILT delivers big on flavor, packing collagen protein and real chocolate into a range of craveable Puffs and Bars. Originally launched as a DTC brand, BUILT has expanded into retail — and with that growth came the need to stand out on increasingly competitive shelves.

The challenge? Break away from the tired conventions of the sports nutrition aisle and embrace what BUILT truly is: a bold, joyful, flavor-first brand with mass appeal.

Retail velocity increase per point of distribution in the 6 months following the launch of our rebrand.

The goal was to optimize the visual identity as well as the packaging for retail while amplifying the product experience — especially the unique, marshmallow-like texture of the Puff line — and clearly differentiating it from the Bar range.

While BUILT had grown a cult following online, its packaging didn’t live up to the hype. We partnered with their team to evolve the brand from “IFYKYK” to “can’t-miss,” crafting a confident, energetic identity rooted in appetite appeal, clarity, and everyday indulgence. From a redesigned wordmark to a reimagined portfolio architecture, every element was built to invite, excite, and empower — making BUILT the ultimate snack sidekick in a world of compromise.

Within the first six months of launching the rebrand Built has seen a 100% velocity growth as compared to the six month prior. Alongside this achievement, new distribution was unlocked, both contributing to a tripling of retail sales.

Our rebrand efforts were awarded the Grand Prize in Designalytics 2025 Design Effectiveness Awards for demonstrating significant sales impact.

The response to our brand refresh has been incredible, it's been exciting to see so many people connecting with BUILT in a whole new way. We’ve always known we had a great product, but this new look helped us show up on shelf in a way that truly reflects who we are.
