POSITION OVERVIEW

The Copywriter at Interact Brands will play a key role in crafting our clients’ brand voices, supporting a range of creative needs from tone of voice development to headline creation and product naming. You will partner closely with our creative and strategic teams to capture the essence of brands, crafting copy that is both compelling and authentic. Your role will be essential in supporting our agency’s mission to create work that fosters meaningful interactions and embodies our core values of collaboration, creative bravery, and ownership.

The Copywriter will report to the Strategy Director while working closely with our Design leads across projects.

STRATEGY TEAM

Our Strategy team is at the heart of Interact’s work, building the foundations of the brands our creative team brings to life. As a Copywriter, you will work alongside designers, strategists, and account leads to develop impactful copy that connects with audiences and communicates our clients' visions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Copywriting

  • Develop compelling copy across brand assets, including headlines, taglines, and core messages.
  • Craft engaging brand narratives, product descriptions, and conceptual copy that reflect each brand’s unique voice.
  • Contribute to brand concept development, supporting the creation of powerful and cohesive creative platforms.

Brand Voice & Tone of Voice

  • Develop and refine brand voice and tone of voice guidelines for clients, ensuring a consistent and resonant brand experience.
  • Participate in internal and client-facing workshops and interviews to uncover the heart of each brand, translating these insights into authentic voice guidelines.

Naming Development

  • Generate creative, memorable, and legally viable name options for brands and products, aligning with clients’ strategic goals.
  • Conduct naming workshops to engage with stakeholders and understand key themes, cultural nuances, and industry needs.
  • Present name options to clients with well-crafted rationales and supportive brand messaging.

KEYS TO SUCCESS

  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of brand strategy and how to translate it into impactful, actionable copy.
  • Show exceptional attention to detail and a strong command of language, grammar, and storytelling techniques.

  • Engage constructively in feedback sessions with clients and internal teams, embracing our value of clear, open communication.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in branding, marketing, and copywriting.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience, preferably in branding, design, or a related agency setting.
  • Proven experience in brand voice development, headline creation, concept statements, and naming.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative copy, with a clear understanding of brand voice and consumer engagement.
  • Familiarity with naming processes and intellectual property considerations in brand naming.
  • Ability to work 9 am-5 pm MST.
  • Preferred Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX, or NYC.

SALARY

$75,000 - $110,000

Starting base salary depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.

This position is eligible for bonus pay.
