POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Account Manager at Interact plays a critical role in overseeing projects within the studio. This position involves managing projects while also providing support to the Account Directors and Account Supervisors and mentorship to junior Account Team members. As the primary point of contact for both internal teams and clients, the Senior Account Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless communication from the initial kickoff to the release of final assets.

In addition to managing project success from start to finish, the Senior Account Manager is expected to cultivate strong client relationships. This includes building rapport, surpassing expectations, and exploring opportunities to expand engagements -- establishing Interact as clients preferred partner today and into the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relations

  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with key clients.
  • Position yourself as a partner for clients and advocate for the agency.
  • Lead Tier 2 & Tier 3 projects by facilitating key conversations, guiding clients through our process and building the client relationship as a valued and trusted resource and confidante.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding new scopes or projects, develop appropriate scopes and timelines, and effectively close additional business opportunities.
  • Immerse yourself in clients' brand, business, category, dynamics, and challenges.
  • Stay updated on relevant trends in the food and beverage industry, branding, design, innovations, and sustainability, and share client specific findings when appropriate.
  • Monitor projects for delays and scope creep, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Accurately record all client communications and approvals. 

Account Team Support

  • Provide mentorship and support to the junior Account Team.
  • Directly manage select Account Managers, Account Coordinators and/or Account Interns.
  • Monitor direct team's bandwidth to assess capacity for new business and ongoing work with recurring clients, providing regular updates to the Account Director for resourcing decisions.
  • Partner with the Creative Services Director and Account Director to coordinate project resourcing, budgets, SOW and timelines for new with existing clients.
  • Delegate tasks clearly and concisely to relevant support Account Team members.
  • Ensure projects stay on track, adhering to agreed upon timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Account Director or Managing Director to troubleshoot and resolve client issues.
  • Attend and actively participate in team huddles, encouraging the sharing of best practices and relevant learnings.
  • Share thought leadership and industry-relevant articles to stay up to date on trends.
  • Identify and engage in ongoing educational opportunities.

Creative Process / Creative Project Management

  • Work directly with Creative and Strategic leads to guide the creation of concepts and deliverables that meet clients’ objectives.
  • Thoroughly understand the client’s brief, key objectives, guardrails to take ownership of deliverables.
  • Drive highest possible quality control in all agency services and deliverables.
  • Ensure thorough proofreading is being conducted for presentations, mechanical files, etc. and/or delegate as needed.
  • Record accurate timekeeping daily into the agency’s time management software maintaining at least 85% of billable time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-6 years of experience in the branding and/or advertising industry
  • 1-3 years of experience leading clients & projects
  • Experience mentoring and/or managing junior team members
  • Available to work 9am-5pm MST
  • Location: Remote or hybrid in-studio in Austin, TX or NYC
  • Remote employees must be located in these states: CA, CO, TX, MA, NC, NY, OR, WA

SALARY

$65,000-$85,000

Starting base salary depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.

This position is eligible for bonus pay.
