Boulder Canyon

Boulder Canyon had recently been acquired by UTZ and was looking to refresh the positioning and design to help unify the growing portfolio of 25+ SKUs. Through a visual motif that used hero-images of the chips as analogs for Boulder’s iconic Flatiron mountains, we were able to create a new brand look and feel that both spoke to Boulder Canyon’s regional heritage, and allowed the brand to expand with the confidence of a national player.

Photography was a key component in bringing the brand to life and increasing appetite appeal. Hero-ing three crisp chips allowed consumers to see all the delicious details of the product, making them nearly irresistible.
We brought the bold flavours into the brand world through inventive out of home activation and engaging media channel ideas. This highlighted the brand's benefits and helped solidify an ownable tone of voice.
